We had a real blast when we travelled...

...but doing it as a family of five, we always needed to find really interesting stuff to do at reasonable prices. We managed this pretty well but were most impressed by all the new friends we made who were on the same kind of mission, but without the family.

We were also part of the WWOOF scheme (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) which brought us into contact with other brilliant WWOOF'ers and WWOOF hosts. We are now registered WWOOF Hosts ourselves, too.

So, it actually works out that by doing this with all the different angles that are available, we feel as if we are still travelling by staying still... if that makes any sense!
