 "The Garden of Inner Peas"
Since arriving at Conscious-Earth, we have been striving to naturally revitalise a corner of the lower orange grove so that we can become more self sufficient in our veggie needs. Through loads of continuing hard work and lots of organic poo, both collected and donated, we are now able to grow totally organic veggies. Infact, throughout all of our land there has been no usage of, fertilisers, pesticides, etc.
We have adopted many permaculture and biodynamic methods and are always experimenting and trying to get the best from the land whilst at the same time being gentle. Whatever seasonal veggies are ready are used by us and people who are staying at the time. we grow, aubergines, leeks, onions, tomatoes, brussel sprouts, caulifloweur, bok choi, beetroot, french beans, peppers, parsnips, strawberries, garlic, watermelon, sweet melon, pumpkin, brocolli, chard, curly kale, lettuce, peas, raddish, courgette, swede... and the list goes on. As well as being a wonderful walk-in larder this is also a place of learning, where you can see how different planting schemes work and how you can use your skills to grow good wholesome food. everyone who visits can contribute to the garden, even if only to sit and energise the space. |
